LOFOB's Tribute
Distinguished Guest, Ladies and Gentlemen.
I am filled with gratitude and appreciation. Firstly, for being a part of this amazing 80th celebration in honour of Lionel Jacobs and Secondly for your generosity and support that have made a difference in bolstering the mission of the League of Friends of the Blind, commonly known as LOFOB.
I currently lead this organisation, which was established by Lionel Jacobs’ father, the late Isaac Jacobs. Thus, Lionel has, and always will have a special connection with this organisation.
Isaac Jacobs strongly believed that creating an excellent service for the blind was imperative.

LOFOB celebrated its 90th anniversary earlier this year and we have been able to provide support to everyone in need, despite the inability of receiving payment therefor at times.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to you Lionel for allowing your guest to donate your gifts to LOFOB.
All of your contributions, both big and small, have demonstrated the true meaning of compassion and communal spirit. It is through your support that we are able to continue our work, providing essential services and assistance to visually impaired individuals to lead fulfilling and independent lives.
LOFOB has always been dedicated to improving the lives of the visually impaired. Your contributions are instrumental in our endeavours, whether it's for our pre-school development programs, orientation and mobility services, or our adult development and training programs.
Your donations are the fuel that drives our mission forward.
